Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: F6-8 Surf / Sea State: Head high + Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny, some clouds Max Speed: Distance Covered:
I sailed Shoreham non-stop from 3:15 to 5:15pm. 4.0m ezzy and wave board.
Conditions were as close to Shoreham perfection as I could hope to get.
Wind was well cross-off with head high plus swell stacking in. You'd get 10
smaller ones then maybe 3 big fellas marching in. Every run out found a
good one, gybe round maxed out and cruise in. The big swell would steepen
up way out to sea and you could set off down the line, faces were overhead
and just peaking up down the line. It didnt close out so you could just
wrap the board round the lip and carry on into the next downwind carve.
After maybe 5 turns it broke, but reformed again further in so you just had
to bide your time then fang it downwind again on the inside waist to chest
high wave, which really gave good distance and gifted you lip after lip to
turn on. Sailed til dark.
